George's, Inc., is one of the top poultry & egg producers in the nation. With the continued demand for product, George's is expanding its operations accordingly. George's began in the late l920's as Farmers Produce, a live-bird hauling operation headed by C. L. George and his sons, Luther and Gene. A third generation, family-owned business headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas, George's markets its poultry and egg products primarily west of the Mississippi River and in the metropolitan areas of the upper Midwest. Currently George's three Hatcheries hatch 4.5 million chicks a week and produce 14 million pounds of ready-to-cook product on an average weekly basis from three processing plants and one further processing plant. The goals for this family owned company is to continue growing as further processing demands are met. In 1994 Monty Henderson began as President/Chief Operating Officer and Gary George was named Chief Executive Officer of George's, Inc. and Subsidiaries. Their leadership will insure that the company started by C. L. George and his sons, Gene and Luther will continue on for many more generations to come.
